这两个专业有什么区别呢
MPA公共管理硕士和MPP公共政策硕士是公共管理学科以及其他相关学科为基础的研究生教育项目，其目的是为政府部门及非政府公共机构培养高层次的应用型专业人才。
这两个专业具有很强的前瞻性和国际性，所学的领域知识和能力也是多种多样的。MPA和MPP学习领域包括政治，经济，金融，教育，公共卫生，健康等各个公共事务理论基础，同时也注重培养学生数据收集，数据分析，写作，公共演讲，思辨能力等方面的公共事务能力。
MPA和MPA专业对比分析：
从招生角度来说，MPA更喜欢在公共领域有工作经验甚至是管理经验的申请者, 而MPP院校更倾向于有数理背景，经济学基础且分析能力强的学生。
但无论是MPA还是MPP都是社科类的重点项目，且替代性很强，专业限制也很少，经济，金融，国际关系，社会学，公共事业管理，语言类专业的同学都可以申请。

MPA和MPA申请条件：
1.专业背景
两者皆无太多的专业限制。但MPP会更青睐于有一定的数理基础且分析能力强的学生，MPA更看重学生的管理方面的能力和经验知识。
两者都看重学生的社会责任感，有服务和奉献于社会的精神，有爱心公益心。
2.实习和工作经历
有些学校开设的MPA项目对工作经验要求相对较高，如雪城大学，普林斯顿大学等。因此，对于应届生本科生来说，具有一定时间的政府或者NGO相关实习经历就显得尤为重要，而MPP项目基本无工作经验要求，学生也可以考虑。
3.标准化成绩
GPA 至少3.0以上
GRE/GMAT：美国学校MPA/MPP专业一般由专门的学院开设，有的也开设在商学院或者社科学院下，少数学校接受GMAT申请，大部分只接受GRE申请。建议同学们参加GRE考试
雅思/托福：雅思7.0左右，托福建议100以上
